Prayer Bulletin

Dear Family and Friends,

We’ve just finished an exhausting couple of weeks, but ones in which we have seen the Lord exceed our hopes and imagination. We want to share thrilling news with you and ask your continued prayers on the behalf of our family and ministry. This month we ask that you pray for the following matters:

1. Thank God for the wonderful Christ’s Church in Rwanda One Year Anniversary Celebration. Our Celebration included a worship service from 10:00 to 11:30 plus an Intermission Fellowship Time, Speeches by Rwandan Community Leaders, and a Lunch together. It officially lasted until about 3:30 in the afternoon. With so much activity we lost track of counting, but are confident that our attendance goal of 400 was exceeded and may have even reached approximately 450 individuals who attended our Anniversary Celebration. Many of our attendees were seekers in our community. Also, many were leaders in Kigali’s government and business offices, non-profit organizations, and embassies. The Lord is gathering people to a vision of a church plant among Kigali’s thought leaders and we ask that He continue to multiply our church growth.

2. Thank God for greater ownership being displayed by those attending Christ’s Church in Rwanda. Our members distributed approximately 1,200 invitations in the week prior to our Anniversary. Also, we noticed approximately 50 individuals who took some responsibility for the Anniversary Celebration from ushering to serving food to planning and participating in worship. May God continue to call us to greater levels of commitment and discipleship at CCR to His vision for Kigali.

3. This Friday, 7 March will be the Launch of our new CCR Youth Program. We plan to start with a Christian Concert and assertively offer an alternative to Kigali’s discos and bars. Please pray that this ministry will reach many young people. Also, please pray for our youth minister, Moses Mbabaabali as he leads this new ministry.

4. This past month with the Lord’s help we were able to find a Mabel Mushoga, an Occupational Therapist from Zimbabwe who has recently moved to Kigali. We see Mabel’s presence in Kigali as an answer to prayers for our youngest son, Timothy’s Cerebral Palsy. Timothy works with her twice per week, and though we have not seen a miraculous improvement we have seen Timothy enjoy Mabel’s help and make new attempts to overcome the difficulties with his right arm. We thank God for this answer to prayer, and continue to ask your prayers on Timothy’s behalf.

Again, thank you for your prayers, support, and encouragement that empower our family and ministry.

Imana ikurinde (May God Keep All of You),

Dave and Jana
