Where is Home?

by Sophia Jenkins

Is it where I was born?
Where grow fields of corn.

Is it where I grew up?
Where I drank tea by the cup.

Is it where I lived for a year?
Where I made friends so dear.

Is it where I moved to?
Where I must begin anew.

It is way up above,
Where in the end I’ll fly to like a dove.

Wow! What a beautiful poem! I am so impressed, not only by Sophia's writing abilities, but also by her spiritual depth. I'm sure that she is a great encouragement and help to you in your work. Keeping you in our prayers!

Dear Sophia,

May I use your poem in a blog I write for missionaries? If you allow me to do that, I would like to know your age and what grade you are in now.

The poem is stunning! I think MKs around the world would like to read it.

Give my love to your Mom & Dad.

Love's prayers...Dottie Schulz

Nice poem. Nice thoughts. Good question. I've added you to my blogroll as I'm a keen missions supporter. I work for the mission SIM so I love to read missionaries blogs.
