Don't Miss Out

It has been an exciting several weeks at CCR. On 2 March we had over 400 people join us for our One Year Anniversary Celebration. Last week we partnered with others in the Oklahoma Christian University Presidential Scholars and Women's Peace Through Business Program. Last Sunday was Palm Sunday, and I had one of my favorite times at church as we decorated with cloth, palm branches, and banana leaves to celebrate the day Jesus entered Jerusalem.

Now we are planning a very busy and exciting weekend, and I don't want any of you to miss out on it. This e-mail is being sent so that you get all the information.

This Friday, 21 March we will celebrate Good Friday 3 p.m. with a special service of the reading of the story of Jesus' death and Holy Communion.

Then on Friday evening we will continue Summit our Weekly Friday Evening Youth Program from 5 to 7 p.m.

On Saturday we will offer our Beginnings Course from 1 to 5 p.m. Attendance at this course is required for all who want to become CCR members. In it the basic questions of faith will be address - Who is Jesus and how do I follow him? Also, we'll explain our CCR Vision and how you can become involved. Lastly, we'll discuss in more detail the Christian symbols of Baptism and Holy Communion.

Then for Women on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. my wife Jana will speak on Proverbs 31 about how to become an ideal wife.

Finally, this Easter Sunday we'll celebrate the whole reason we exist as a church - the Resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth. We hope you will join us to celebrate that death is not the final matter in the life of believers.
