Prayer Bulletin

Dear Family and Friends,

Thank you for your prayers and encouragement over the last few months. Our journey in Rwanda has been very unique and surprising. It seems to us that the next few months may be ones in which foundations are laid that will last for years. We face these months with both eagerness and holy terror. Much has happened that we could not imagine. We sense a need to pray not so much for our agenda and desires, but for a renewed sense of blessing to be upon the nation of Rwanda. This month we ask for you to pray for the following matters:

  1. Quail GO Team: Today, a team of short-term workers will arrive from our overseeing congregation and Oklahoma Christian University. Part of their task will be to finalize arrangements for Rwandan students to study at Oklahoma Christian University. Also, they will tutor English at two local universities. May their travels be safe, may their health be good, may their hands be fruitful, and may their vision expand to see in a greater way what God intends to do in Rwanda.
  1. Co-workers Arrival: Kyle and Luz Beard arrive on Friday. We are eager for them to be here. (In fact, the American community is already looking for Kyle’s help in a local soccer tournament.) May they discover all their remaining needed funding, may their travels be safe, may they receive favor and friendship from many Rwandans, may their settling be with ease, and may their future ministry be one which deeply blesses the people of Rwanda.

Amanda Moore and Kyla Kiser are in the process of raising funds to join us as teachers for Kigali International Christian School. May their needed funds soon be discovered, and may KICS find a niche in Kigali and thrive.

Caleb and Jenny Beck are also in preparation to join us in early 2007. May their support also be discovered in a timely manner and may their ministry in Rwanda be one of blessing.

  1. The Rwandan Government: We have been completely astounded at the events of the last month. May our time in government offices not just be about our agendas for documents and visas. May we be a helpful friend. May the Government of Rwanda be known as leaders of integrity and service whose hands are blessed by the Lord.
  1. Our kids: May their years in Rwanda be ones that they will remember with joy. May they find and be friends to many others. May their needs for education and balanced socialization lead to opportunities to serve others.
  1. Our comprehensive health: We are struggling with colds and upset stomachs. Our pace in Rwanda has been erratic as we try to learn and settle. May we have greater wisdom, more peace, and balance the totalities of life.

Thank you for your prayers, support, and encouragement.

Imana ikurinde (May the Lord keep all of you),

Dave and Jana
