Need a New Beginning?
This past Sunday, we started our new series in Mark's story of Jesus. The question we asked was, "Do you need a new beginning?" It seems to be a universal human need. We all have to start over many times.
Approximately, two thousand years ago, a strange man named John came with a message about change and symbols. The religious term we use to describe change is "repentance," but even the most secular sources can't help but recognize that in order for us to heal from the damage we have done to ourselves and others we must go down a path of truthfulness and responsibility (such as Alcoholics Anonmyous 12 Step Program). The symbol he both spoke about and practiced was baptism.
This week in our Men's and Women's Small Group we'll discuss in more detail this process of personal change.
Our Women's Group will meet at our Conference Room at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. This room is located in Room 7 of the Primary School across from the church building.
Our Men's Group will meet at my home in Kimihurura at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
If you need directions or we can help in other ways please don't hesitate to call me at 08-675-122 or my wife, Jana at 08-641-781.
Imana ikurinde,
Dave
P.S. If you would like a copy of this past week's sermon notes just send an e-mail request and we'll send it to you.
